Akash is wise beyond his years. There are moments he appears to be like a sage who is been walking on the earth for a hundred years. But just when you are getting used to that calm and holding presence, he will switch it up and have you in splits with his sparkling humor and his super-expressive face.<\/p>\n
Akash is an actor, director and writer. His passion for using the transformative power of the performing arts, brought him to Navgati as a theatre-based facilitator and creator of arts-based offerings. At Navgati, he helps facilitate several programs that use theatre as a methodology. He also brings his ability to take on roles to programs on influencing, where he plays a range of characters with whom participants rehearse challenging conversations.<\/p>\n
In his other avatars, Akash has been assistant director on two feature films, has performed in numerous performances of playback theatre and written and directed several plays. He is also a Carnatic singer and a poet. His dream is to use the power of filmmaking to engage with and reform social systems. He puts his heart and soul into anything he does – whether it is training, theatre, singing, or the causes he stands for<\/p>\n
